Sustainable development representative
VINCI
Christian Caye is VINCI sustainable development representative, administrator of Comité 21 and Entreprises pour l’Environnement (EPE) (coalition of 40 leading companies operating in France united by a commitment to the environment and sustainable development) associations in which he deals with themes related to sustainable cities and building energy efficiency. Christian Caye is also the director of the Vinci Foundation for the city and animates the “Eco design of buildings and infrastructure” chair which developed a tool to perform ACV (life cycle analysis) on buildings or blocks. On a personal level, he is the administrator of the association Ateliers Sans Frontières (Workshops Without Borders).
Previously, Christian Caye was senior consultant and assistant to the research and development manager for the Agence Nationale pour la Création d’Entreprise (ANCE) (national business creation agency) and then director of operations at the Vivendi Universal Foundation. Since 2003, he has been VINCI sustainable development representative and a member of the scientific council of La Fabrique de la Cité, a focus group on inventing tomorrow’s city today. He has a Ph.D. in economics from Université Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne, and his work and activities do with integrating societal, social and environmental components in public, private and associative production systems.
Christian Caye is a member of the steering committee of La Fabrique de la Cité.
