Dominique Descolas is an engineer with an MBA who has worked in industry and consulting for the past 15 years (electronic transactions, information systems) for Gemalto, Parkeon, and, later, Sema, taking part in marketing, business development, and general management mandates.
In 2004, he joined Veolia Transport, the world’s leading privately owned public transit operator.
He oversees ticketing projects (France and international) and the development of new mobile telephony services.
He initiated Veolia’s NFC projects (with experimental trials starting in 2005) and manages the BPass solution (ticketing, passenger information, entertainment on NFC mobile devices), which was commercially deployed in Nice in May 2010. Dominique Descolas represents Veolia at Calypso Network Association, AFSCM, and Forum des Services Mobiles sans contact.
