Future Cities Catapult
Gyorgyi Galik is a London-based designer and researcher currently working for Future Cities Catapult, a London-based organization which « accelerate urban ideas to market, to grow the economy and make cities better ». Her practice focuses on voluntary social change, and more specifically how we can transform socio-ecological systems and our collective relationship towards the environmental commons to address and respond to contemporary social and environmental challenges. Gyorgyi has been leading the recent Hackday which was held by Future Cities Catapult on air quality.
With PAN Studio and Tom Armitage, Gyorgyi has been nominated in the Digital Category of the Design Museum’s ‘Design of the Year 2014’ Award for their project, Hello Lamp Post (winner of the first Playable City Award 2013, Bristol).
