Laurent Hénart is a graduate of the Institute of political studies in Paris. In 1993, he becomes a collaborator of the group Union pour la Démocratie Française in the National Assembly.
In 1995, he is elected local councilor in charge of the youth and the associative world for the city of Nancy. In 2001 he becomes deputy mayor and keeps the charge of the youth and the culture.
Laurent Hénart is also the 4e Vice-president of the urban community of the great Nancy, delegate to the attractivity of the territory and the reception of companies.
