Mathieu GOETZKE

Mathieu Goetzke has been director of urban planning and design department of the City of Lille since October 2008. He leads urban planning projects and controls the city’s urban programming and land policies.

Mathieu Goetzke held the position of European and International project executive at the Directorate of research and scientific and technical affairs of the Ministry of Equipment/Direction de la recherche et des affaires scientifiques et techniques du Ministère de l’Equipement from 2002 to 2006, then the post of Director of large urban projects at the City of Lille from 2006 to 2008.

Mathieu Goetzke is a graduate of the Ecole Polytechnique, Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées and Stanford University.

La Fabrique de la Cité

La Fabrique de la Cité is a think tank dedicated to urban foresight, created by the VINCI group, its sponsor, in 2010. La Fabrique de la Cité acts as a forum where urban stakeholders, whether French or international, collaborate to bring forth new ways of building and rebuilding cities.
