Peter Troxler is Associate Professor at the Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences and board member of the International Fab Lab Association. He works on the topics of open innovation and co-creation.
For this purpose, he studies Fab Labs as new forms of co-creation in the city. Fab Labs are collaborative workshops whose role is to put at the disposal of citizens and entrepreneurs specific tools (3D printers, digital milling machines, etc.) to help them experiment with projects and develop prototypes.
Peter Troxler was Director of Research at the Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (1993-1999), and then Aberdeen University in Scotland (2001-2004). He is today an independent researcher in administration, social sciences and technical sciences.
