The end (of the end) of traffic congestion
About
Digital technologies are fueling high promises for cities in terms of mobility and traffic jam reduction. Yet these technologies have still not helped reduce urban congestion. Worse, they may well have strengthened it in some ways. This research project aims to deconstruct the original myth according to which digital technology can reduce congestion, before studying a range of concrete solutions that could effectively solve congestion as a phenomenon resulting from an imbalance between supply and demand of mobility.
