Feeding and Fueling the City
About
An issue as old as cities themselves, urban logistics has long been diminished in public debates and action; it is generally perceived as an ancillary constraint, or even as “self-evident”, by the citizen/consumer. It has also long been marginalized because of the fragmentation of supply. To prevent urban logistics from remaining a blind spot in urban politics, La Fabrique de la Cité has launched a research project entitled “Feeding and Fueling the City”, which explores how flows of goods encourage a renewed approach to urban planning and to the links between the city and its environment.
