The post-carbon city
About
Because they concentrate people and activities, cities are often cited as major factors of climate change. They now wish to become problem-solving, rather than problem-inducing territories. To that end, they must use less energy, promote the use of decarbonated electricity in public transportation, be central actors of energy efficiency in buildings, develop biodiversity strategies, adapt infrastructures and planning to the effects of future climate crises, etc. The task that lies ahead is immense.
