Berliners play an important role in the development of the city and its governance: they shape the city in their own image and promote original uses of its facilities in terms of work, mobility and housing; city-dwellers are encouraged to do so by a favourable cultural environment, local authority initiatives and input from a number of enlightened investors. For all these reasons, the German capital was the perfect host city for La Fabrique de la Cité’s 2015 seminar on « Understanding behavioural changes to keep transforming cities ».
